discipleship classes
Classes for all ages meet 6:15pm until 7:30pm each Wednesday night from August until May.
Preschoolers:
Each week our preschoolers learn about music and singing in Preschool Choir. Then they study and memorize God’s word as they work through the Awana Cubbies curriculum. Children must be 3 by September 1, 2021 to participate in Cubbies. Loving childcare is available for children birth through 2 years old.
Children:
The children will rotate through two different sessions in this year. The topics included in each section may include Old and New Testament, missions, Bible drill, discipleship, team building, and worship. The children will meet in a mixture of small and large group environments to gain more in depth Christian education.
Youth:
This fall our youth will look at the life and ministry of Jesus in the book of Luke. We will start each week with large group activities followed by a lesson and small group discussion.
Adults:

Starting in January, we will embark on a discipleship strategy for the whole church family. Disciples Path is a series of resources founded on Jesus' model of discipleship. Created by experienced disciple-makers, it is an intentional path of transformational discipleship. While most small-group studies facilitate transformation through relationship and information, these disciple-making resources emphasize the principles of modeling, practicing, and multiplying.
Beginning Wednesday, January 11, you will have the opportunity to join 1 of 3 different small group studies on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30 pm. Locations for the classes will be posted soon, but we wanted you to make plans to join us for this discipleship journey.
‘The Beginning,’ facilitated by Pastor Sean, introduces the basic practices and elements of the faith in a manner that disciples will learn the basics of Christianity and become comfortable passing along their faith in Christ.
‘The Way,’ led by Scot Frye, helps new and growing disciples walk through the Gospels, following Jesus and His methods as He calls, teaches, equips, and sends His followers. The third study available this Spring is
‘The Call,’ led by Deb Farley. This study answers the question "Who am I as a disciple of Christ?" In this small group, you will discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and how to base your identity on Jesus himself.
***Keep in mind, each study will be offered again this Spring. It is our prayer that within 12 months, you will have the opportunity to plug in to each of these studies, grow as a disciple and build community with others as we pursue Christ-likeness and seek to reach a lost and dying world!
Email sean@lawrencevillefbc.org or call the church office if you have questions.
Our adult choir also meets at this time. They meet Wednesday from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. All are welcome to attend!
