WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

The mission of Yeshá Taekwondo is to train and develop disciples of Christ through sanctioned martial arts.

OUR VISION

The vision of Yeshá Taekwondo is for our disciples to demonstrate Christian leadership principals which positively impact the lives of the individuals they touch.

OUR STORY

Yeshá began as a single Taekwondo class at Neptune Baptist Church in Neptune Beach, Florida, on June 13, 1983, after Grandmaster Coker closed the commercial schools he and his brother (Grandmaster James Coker) owned. Before long, schools were started in other churches, community centers, and storefronts combining the same principles with free training. Yeshá continues to train on both an educational and competitive level. We are one of the few AAU, USA Taekwondo Association, and World Taekwondo Federation membership groups in the country. Our competitors are recognized worldwide for their abilities and accomplishments.

ABOUT US

WE WANT TO SEE GOD MOVE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Yeshá Taekwondo is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3), community development organization. As the largest non-profit, Olympic-sanctioned Taekwondo organization in Florida, Yeshá Taekwondo has been offering affordable Taekwondo to northeast Florida since 1983. Sharing our passion for Taekwondo and Christ, we have expanded to locations in South Carolina and Tennessee.

We give our time and energy to those willing to learn, regardless of age or financial ability. Our fees are minimal. We charge no monthly fees. Student registration only costs $75 per year or $40 for 6 months, with a one-time uniform cost of $48. So all you need to bring for your first class are some gym clothes and a water bottle.

YESHA AT LFBC

The Lawrenceville, Georgia school is proud to be the first Yeshá school in the state of Georgia.  We are blessed to be partnered with Lawrenceville First Baptist Church, which provides training facilities and are fully invested in the Yeshá program as a great opportunity for evangelism and outreach in the community.  The instructor is a 4th degree black belt with over 18 years of experience.  Our school has students ranging in age from 4 to 70.  Our goal is to develop students physically, mentally and spiritually while building character, discipline, self-confidence and leadership skills through martial arts training, with our primary goal being a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.  Personal development, growth and skills are encouraged while allowing each student to progress at their own individual pace.  No matter your age or current physical conditioning level, our program is designed to help increase strength, endurance, balance and flexibility all in an atmosphere of friendship, camaraderie and fun.  At the Lawrenceville school you will learn Taekwondo skills, self-defense skills and sparring through basic and advanced techniques and training.  We love to meet new students, so come and join us for a welcoming atmosphere and a fun workout!
