Inman Houston, Senior Pastor
Inman was called to Lawrenceville First Baptist as Senior Pastor on January 13, 2008, and he began his ministry with the church on March 1, 2008. A DeKalb County native, Inman has served churches in Georgia and Louisiana, most recently serving as the Associate Pastor of Global Impact at First Baptist New Orleans. Inman earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Tech, and he holds both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). He is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student at NOBTS.
Inman is married to April. April is a registered nurse, and she has worked in hospitals in Georgia and Louisiana. She also served as the Congregational Health Nurse at First Baptist New Orleans. Inman and April have three sons, Jacob, Logan and Micah, and one daughter, Grace.
Ed Lawrie, Minister of Music
Ed, a Gwinnett County native, came to First Baptist in March 2004 after serving over 10 years as minister of music in a Baptist church in South Carolina. Prior to this, Ed served other churches in Georgia and Kentucky. Throughout his ministry, he has been an active participant and leader in many associational and state ministry organizations, including the Sons of Jubal, the South Carolina Singing Churchmen and serving on the Senior Adult Choir Festival Task Force.
Ed’s leadership at First Baptist includes directing the Adult, Senior Adult, Youth and Handbell Choirs, and Praise Team while overseeing the children’s choirs and other vocal ensembles. Working together with our pastor, he coordinates opportunities for all of our choirs as well as our many gifted soloists to be actively involved in leading worship. Ed received a Bachelor of Music degree from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia (1989) and a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky (1993). He and his wife Frances met at Shorter and have been happily married since 1990. Frances, an elementary school teacher is also a strong supporter of the music ministry, serving in the Adult and Handbell choirs and Praise Team. Together, they look forward to every opportunity God gives them to be “instruments” in helping others to discover a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Bruce McGee, Associate Pastor: Communications / Student Ministry Director
Bruce was called to Lawrenceville First Baptist Church as a full-time Associate Pastor: Communications / Student Ministry Director on March 25, 2007 after serving in a part-time role for over a year. Since his call to the ministry in 2000, Bruce has led several ministries including Youth, College, and Young Adult Bible Studies in several Baptist Churches in Metro Atlanta. Bruce earned a Bachelors of Arts in Christian Ministries from the Leavell College of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Bruce is married to Laura who has taught in elementary education for 9 years. Bruce and Laura have a passion to see students surrender their life to the leadership of Jesus Christ. Bruce and Laura have two daughters, Hayden and Ava, and one son, Brooks.
Dannie Reed, Director of Adult Ministries
Dannie was called to Lawrenceville First Baptist as Adult Ministry Director in April 2013. Dannie has served several churches as a part-time and volunteer staff member, including Annistown Road Baptist and Mountain Park First Baptist. He retired in 2007 after a long career serving the DeKalb County and Gwinnett County School Systems. Dannie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Clayton State College.
Dannie is married to Janet. Dannie and Janet have two children, Kim and Marc, and four grandchildren.
Rich Smith, Associate Pastor: Disciple-Making / Children’s Ministry Director
Rich joined the staff of Lawrenceville First Baptist Church in April of 2012 as Associate Pastor of Disciple-Making and Children’s Ministry Director. He previously served churches in Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, and Louisiana. Rich received his Bachelor of Science degree in Religion and Psychology from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky and his Master of Divinity degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Rich has also conducted post-graduate studies in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rich has been married to his wife, Paige, since 1995 and they have an eleven year old daughter, Allie, and 2-year old triplets, Addison, Alexis, and Max. Rich deeply cares about children and especially families. He also enjoys the work of Christian Education in the local church. In his free time, Rich enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
Radu Coliba, Director of Ministry Operations and Finance
Radu was called to Lawrenceville First Baptist as Director of Ministry Operations and Finance on January 2012, and began his ministry with the church on March 5, 2012. Radu is originally from Moldova (Europe). In 2003, Radu and his family decided to move to the U.S. They have been residing in Georgia since they settled in the U.S. Radu earned an Associate Degree in Accounting and Bachelor Degree of Science in Management. He is currently enrolled as a student at GGC accomplishing his Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
Radu is married to Irina Coliba. Radu and Irina have two sons, Christian and Claudiu, and two daughters, Crina and Miriam Gloria.
